  1. Greetings:

We’re brand new publishers (our first anthology, Mothership: Tales from Afrofuturism & Beyond was just released last month). We’re about to publish an electronic comic, called DayBlack by Keef Cross, about a vampire tattoo artist. We would like to send you an advance copy. If you’re interested, where should we send it?

Thank you for your time and consideration.

    All the Best,
    Bill Campbell

  4. Hi,

I have been checking out your site, and I wanted to talk to you about the possibility of reviewing Issue One of my comic Super. I am currently running a Kickstarter to fund Issue Two, and it would be awesome if you or someone at We Talk Comics could give it a read!

I can provide you with a PDF, and links to the Kickstarter can be found at my website: http://www.jaycrowcomics.com

  5. Hey guys my name is Jordan Clark, and first I want to say I love the podcast, you guys are great! I just wanted to share with you two comic series’ I’m working on that are coming out in the next few months.

The first is called Hive Mind and is coming out around Halloween. The series is about an intelligent virus that creates a new species of zombie like creatures, and the more they eat, the smarter they get. Before they know what hit them, humanity is fighting for survival and the zombies have claimed the #1 spot on the food chain. More than just a survival story, the book raises a lot of social and political questions. If there was a real viral outbreak, how would not just our government, but the world react? What would our world look like if there were more than one form of intelligent life? Could we co-exist? Here’s a twelve page preview.

The next book is called Kane Maverick and is a mix between pulp adventure comics like Doc Savage and Booster Gold. Kane Maverick is a man of adventure, science, and action from the 12th dimension, but after a battle with his arch nemesis, Dr. Whiro, he becomes trapped in our world. Can Kane adjust to a world with considerably less action/adventure and find a way back home? It’s a fun pulp adventure with a bit of meta twist that plays with a lot of comic book tropes (handsome/rich hero, damsel in distress, crazy mad scientist). We’ll be launching a kickstarter for the project within the week. Here’s a look at the cover and a preview page.

  7. Hello Keith and Team,

Love all that you guys offer your readers in support of indie comics. Content creators (such as my team and I) are greatly appreciative for what you do; giving us a voice and allowing us to be seen. So, thank you!

I have a unique project that might interest your readers, “The True Masters Chronicles” Graphic Novel App. It’s exactly what it sounds like…a full-fledged digital graphic novel housed in an app that also has creator interviews, artist sketches, videos, character breakdowns, and more inside of it!

Wanted to see if you’d be interested in checking it out and providing a review either on the graphic novel portion, or on the app as a whole, or both!

I’ve provided a link to the app that’ll allow you to DOWNLOAD FOR FREE on your iPhone/iPad (iPad/tablet is the preferred platform), and I’ve also left a teaser of the project below.

Let me know if you’re interested. Look forward to hearing from you, and keep doing what you do!

  8. I am the co-founder of the Bay Area Comic Anthology (BACA). A group of 6 and I have been working for 10 months on a comic anthology about the San Francisco Bay Area.
In our collaboration model, every creator, whether artist or writer, had to write and illustrate for somebody else! We thought this would be a cool way to become better comic creators and collaborators. Check us out!

“[Supernaut is] crazy, exuberant stuff, and really fun to read. Very ambitious in a way that’s reminiscent of Grant Morrison’s most cosmic and tripped out storytelling.”

    GREETINGS
    **********************************************
Hello! My name is Michael David Nelsen and I am the creator of SUPERNAUT – a Sci-Fi comic just released by 215 Ink and 50 Foot Robot Studios thru ComiXology! All 5 Issues are now available!
    https://www.comixology.com/Supernaut/comics-series/82654

I chipped away at this project on nights and weekends in stages for over two years to bring it into existence and I’m thrilled to finally have it released. I conceived of Supernaut back in 2012 as sort of a Green Lantern type Sci-Fi adventure, but as I began writing it in 2013, it quickly evolved into something else. I brought all of my interest in metaphysics, theology, Joseph Campbell mythology and mixed it with my love of pulp sci-fi, comics, and trippy storytelling to create something different – a 21st Century Cosmic Hero Myth. A story of the multiverse and beyond. A story of Armageddon, and what may come after.

Because this became such a personal expression of my interests, I decided it would best be conceived if I also did the artwork and lettering. I also brought my experience as a professional graphic designer to the work.

I hope you will take the time to check it out! If you have the inclination to review it, that would be awesome as well. Or if you enjoy it, I would ask you to pass it along to others and help bring the project more exposure.

I truly, deeply appreciate your time and consideration.

    Ragnarok n’ Roll.
    – Michael

    FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION
    **********************************************
Supernaut is a 21st Century Cosmic Hero Myth. A 5-issue exploration of dying and rebirth disguised as a Sci Fi Adventure Comic Book.

In 1968, Astronaut Stephen Haddon completes a secret mission to Earth’s Moon. In an ancient, underground temple, he finds two items that vibrate with power and call him to them. He reaches out and touches them; they transform into The Oortum Bands – transtemporal 5-Dimensional artifacts – that transform him in turn into SUPERNAUT – a highly evolved consciousness housed in the reconstructed vessel of Haddon’s body.

The Bands guide him across the Macroverse to a waypoint older than the universe itself. Here his rapidly expanding existential mind is employed by a group of Interdimensional Thieves to help them recover four artifacts from beyond this universe that can be used to stop God himself from killing reality.

Over the course of five issues, across different genres and universes, the group assembles a map of the dead, Godkiller armor, a book of knowledge, and a sword of legend. These artifacts, combined with Supernaut’s powerful Bands, allow him to confront numerous aspects of God, along with thousands of Supernauts from alternate realities, in a final showdown that ends in Armageddon.

After the End of Reality, Supernaut finally achieves true enlightenment and is reborn from the ashes.
